How long has it been since you last did some exercise? A few weeks, months or maybe even more? As with other changes in life, the first step is always considered the hardest, but if you wish to get back into action it really doesn’t take much.
Experts have recommended that working out at least 45 minutes to an hour a day is ideal for weight loss and fitness.

Indulge in exercising

Take it upon yourself to walk a few times a week, as exercise is important for being fit and healthy. Cardiovascular exercises are a great way to strengthen the lungs and heart, while strength training helps to strengthen your muscles, stretching sometimes also helps as it reduces the risk of injury by increasing your flexibility. Exercise also helps in improving circulation and regular exercise helps in combating depression.

Reduce Stress

Stress is the major cause of a lot problems, from heart trouble to digestive problems. You’ve probably heard or know these things, but what you do not know is what to do about it and the question that pops up in your head is how do I manage stress. Regular meditation, exercising, indulging in what you love, and other enjoyable hobbies all help relieve you from the harmful effects that comes stress on the body. Try not to overwork. Take breaks and surround yourself with supportive people.

Never miss your breakfast


A healthy breakfast is the best way to start your day off right. It provides you with enough energy and fuel that is needed, for the best mental and physical performance. Regularly eating breakfast also helps in maintaining stable blood sugar levels.

Set goals

As the old adage goes, if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. couldn’t be truer when it comes to working out. Before you lace up your sneakers for jogging or head out to the gym, take a minute or two to think about or better still write down, what you hope to achieve, whether it’s running in the park or taking a spin class. Know that listing out your goals makes it easier for you to achieve them.

Forget counting calories

Yes I said it, forget counting calories this year and start eating fresh greens, high-quality foods that are super hygienic. Consume low-carb diets and a lot of greens and just watch as the pounds melt away.

Add garlic to your daily diet

Garlic contains antimicrobial properties. So, adding one to two cloves of chopped garlic to your meals daily helps to prevent the fungal skin infection responsible for itching and cracking. Also, adding garlic to your diet boosts up the rate of your metabolism.

Drink water regularly

Don’t wait until you’re thirsty before you drink water. If you wait, you get dehydrated and for every 2 percent of dehydration, you’re bound to lose 10 percent performance. Also, being hydrated is essential for the brain as it helps to flush toxins out through the skin (sweat) and urine.

Sleep

Sleep affects our physical and mental health immensely, and sadly, so many of us do not get enough of it. Lack of proper sleep is harmful as it affects metabolism, memory, concentration, mood, the immune system and even the  cardiovascular health. While proper sleep allows the body to rejuvenate, heal and repair itself.
